Police Investigating Accidental Shooting in San Angelo Friday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police are reporting that Friday at approximately 6:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to Shannon Medical Center’s Emergency Room for the report of a 52-year-old male gunshot victim.

Officers arrived and spoke with the victim and a family member who indicated the victim was shot in the hand from an unintentional discharge of a firearm at a residence in the 3700 block of Honeysuckle Lane.  

Investigators with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the hospital as well as the residence on Honeysuckle.  

The incident is being investigated as an unintentional discharge of a firearm; however, the investigation is ongoing.
