Police Identify Man Found Dead on Top of Semi Trailer

SAN ANGELO, TX — The body of a man located on top of a tractor-trailer behind Chick-Fil-A, near the new HEB on Sherwood Way and FM 2288, has been identified as Clarence Hill, 55, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, San Angelo police reported.

Police said Hill was reportedly in San Angelo for work and was observed yesterday afternoon securing the load atop his tractor-trailer by a Chic-Fil-A patron.  Roughly 45 minutes later, the patron spotted Hill slumped over the load and subsequently alerted a nearby employee.

San Angelo police secured the area and the Department’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to process the scene.  Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire was summoned to the location and formally pronounced the man deceased.

A preliminary investigation revealed no signs of foul play and McGuire indicated Hill most likely died as a result of an undetermined medical condition.  McGuire did not order an autopsy.
