Elder Care Couple On the Run From the Law
SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police are seeking information leading to the whereabouts of Ramon and Debra Garcia. According to court records, Ramon Garcia skipped bail. His wife, Debra, is alleged to be aiding his flight from justice.
According to court records, Ramon Garcia was ordered to attend a pre-trial hearing March 7. At 12:16 p.m. on that day, Bailiff Jack Renfro called his name three times in the district courtroom. He did not appear. Ramon Garcia has been free after posting a $100,000 bond through Concho Bail Bonds. After failing to appear, his bail was increased to $200,000 according to court documents. He was originally arrested and posted a bond in April 2015. His trial was scheduled for March 20.
Ramon and Debra Garcia are facing charges that as caregivers for elderly residents at their business in the 4200 block of Armstrong, the couple failed to provide medical care to one of their patients, resulting in her death. They are facing first-degree felony charges. Read more here.
Debra Garcia’s trial was scheduled for April 17. When Ramon Garcia went missing, Concho Bail Bonds alleged she was aiding and abetting a felony fugitive, Ramon, and requested of the court that she have her bond revoked.
Debra is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 132 pounds. She is 59 years old. Ramon is 5 foot, 8 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He is 57.
