Ballinger Man Arrested for Online Solicitation of Minor

As stated in a previous article, a 28-year-old Ballinger man, Howard Alexander Plumley, was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor. This evening, the San Angelo Police Department released more information on that arrest.

Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said, on February 2, 2017, SAPD’s Street Crimes Division (SCD) began an online solicitation investigation in an attempt to identify potential child predators in San Angelo.

“Throughout February, SCD established electronic communication with one potential suspect, which resulted in the exchange of illicit photographs and comments with a victim who was being portrayed as a minor child,” said Gonzalez.

She added that last night, the suspect contacted the victim to arrange a meeting in the San Angelo Community Medical Center parking lot.

“When the suspect arrived, he was met by SCD detectives who ultimately took him into custody without incident,” Gonzalez said.

Plumley was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and booked for Felony 2 Online Solicitation of a Minor.

Members of the Patrol Division assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.
