SAPD Apprehend Suspect Who Stabbed Woman in Chest on 24th St.

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - At approximately 12:46 a.m. this morning, San Angelo Police dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of W. 24th St. for the report of a stabbing. According to initial reports, a woman was stabbed in the chest. This was a second stabbing incident of a woman in San Angelo within a 24-hour period. For the other stabbing case, click here.

Upon arrival, SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers located a 41-year-old woman suffering from apparent stab wounds inflicted by the woman’s husband, 53-year-old Stephener Paul Frazier. 

"Officers provided first aid to the woman until Fire Department Medics arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment," said Gonzalez. "Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening."

Gonzalez added that officers gathered information about Frazier’s possible whereabouts and proceeded to a residence in the 200 block of W. 20th Street. 

"Frazier was located inside and taken into custody without incident," she said. "The Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene to assist and conduct a follow-up investigation."

Frazier was transported to SAPD Headquarters for questioning and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon Family Violence. He was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
