Man Involved in Joint Traffic Stop Yesterday Arrested Again Today

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- San Angelo Police Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said this afternoon that 38-year-old Jonathan Wayne Staker, one of the suspects in yesterday’s arrests following a joint operation with Midland Police regarding narcotics trafficking and illegal firearm possession, was arrested twice in the past 24 hours. Staker was booked for the Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon charge at 12:58 a.m. this morning, and released on a $30,000 bond at 10:29 a.m.

This afternoon, Staker was arrested again for Third Degree Felony Forgery. A warrant issued by justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire named Staker as a suspect in connection to counterfeit currency located in yesterday’s operation.

Gonzalez said, “Staker was taken into custody around noon today by members of the Department’s Street Crimes and Patrol Division and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.”
