SAPD Identifies and Searches for Suspect in W. Aveno O Shooting

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo Police are searching for 32-year-old Pete “Oso” Frank Estrada in connection to the shooting that occurred in the unit block of W. Avenue O Wednesday evening.

Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said investigators developed probable cause naming Estrada as the suspect who shot a 31-year-old San Angelo man and stole a red 1991 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck the victim had been operating.  The vehicle has since been recovered, and was located unoccupied in the 1500 block of Preusser Street.

"Estrada is wanted for Aggravated Robbery, a First Degree Felony," said Gonzalez. "The arrest warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Judge Eddie Howard."

Gonzalez said Estrada has black hair and brown eyes, is 5’11”, 235 pounds, and has multiple tattoos on his face, head, neck and body.

"Estrada is considered armed and dangerous," she added. "If you have information about Estrada or his whereabouts that could lead to his arrest, contact San Angelo Crime Stoppers. Never attempt to apprehend suspects yourself; doing so may be dangerous.  Tipsters will remain anonymous. You can call the Anonymous 24-Hour Tip Hotline at 325-658-4357; submit a web-tip at www.sanangelocrimestoppers.com or download the App 'P3 Tips.'"
