Suspected Stabbing on Avenue N

 

Just before 8 p.m., police were dispatched to 106 W. Avenue N for an alleged stabbing, and upon investigation, a suspect was taken in for questioning.

The alleged victim claimed she was stabbed in the arm with a knife. She was found with injuries appearing to be consistent with being beaten in the face as well.

According to an officer on scene, paramedics found what appeared to be “old looking puncture wounds to one of her arms.” The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. 

A detective will be conducting an investigation of the alleged stabbing to decipher the sequence of events. The suspect will not be charged at the moment, pending the investigation.

No further details were released regarding the knife. We will update this story as more information is available to us.
