A Wanted Arlington Man Working the SS&R Carnival Gets Arrested in San Angelo

A 19-year-old man wanted for an outstanding Aggravated Robbery Warrant out of Arlington, Texas was arrested in San Angelo yesterday, said Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for the San Angelo Police Department.

Gonzalez said, yesterday afternoon, detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Special Operations Section received information from the Arlington Police Department that a wanted fugitive, Kahleigh M. Crittenden, was allegedly working for the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Midway Carnival.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., SOS and Criminal Investigations Division Detectives positively identified Crittenden operating one of the carnival’s rides located on the Midway at the Foster Communications Coliseum. When two of the detectives approached Crittenden and identified themselves as police officers, Crittenden attempted to run; however, he was immediately caught and restrained. After a brief struggle, Crittenden was arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.

Gonzalez added that several plain-clothed officers were present during the apprehension to ensure carnival goers’ safety. No one was injured during Crittenden’s apprehension.
