San Angelo Man Killed in Fiery Schleicher County Crash

ELDORADO, TX - A San Angelo man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 190 on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 29, in Schleicher County.

The crash occurred at 10:47 a.m., six miles from Eldorado

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that a 2017 Ford F-350 truck, operated by 30-year-old Jacob Daniel Aguayo from San Angelo, was the sole vehicle involved in the crash.

Aguayo, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time, tragically lost his life.

A report states that the Ford F-350 was traveling east on US Highway 190 when Aguayo failed to maintain a single lane for reasons yet to be determined.

The truck veered off to the right, eventually crashing into a tree before coming to rest upright in the eastbound borrow ditch. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire.

Schleicher County Justice of The Peace Judge Rahegyn Franke pronounced him dead at the scene.

Weather conditions at the time of the incident were reported as clear, and the road was dry. The posted speed limit on SH-190 was 75 mph.
