POLICE: Woman Transported to Lubbock After Serious Crash

 

SAN ANGELO— San Angelo Police are reporting Wednesday the driver injured in a serious crash was transported to Lubbock for her injuries.

On June 18, 2023, Jacob Motl, 30, was arrested for intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. According to court documents, the driver of the pickup truck that Motl allegedly crashed into was listed with only a compound fracture. While the report did say occupants were inside the pickup truck, the compound fracture to the driver was the only injury listed.

According to San Angelo Police Department’s Public Information Officer Richard Espinoza, the driver of the pickup truck was transported to Lubbock for her injuries and everyone else involved in the crash has been treated and released from the hospital.

The extent of the driver's injuries is unknown.

On June 18, 2023, San Angelo police were dispatched to the intersection of Van Zandt Street and South Bell Street regarding a major vehicle crash. A blue Dodge Durango and a pickup truck had crash into one another. The driver of the Durango, identified as Motl, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. He was released the same day on $15,000 bond.
