Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies Injured in Crash During Chase

 

LUBBOCK – Two Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies were injured in a low-speed pursuit Thursday night that resulted in a crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway.

According to police reports, just before midnight, a car drove away from a traffic stop at 19th Street and Aberdeen Avenue that kicked off the chase. According to Lubbock Police, the driver of the vehicle rammed into the deputies patrol vehicles.

The deputies and the driver all sustained injuries and were transported to University Medical Center. Since the crash, both deputies have been released and the suspect driver has not yet been identified.
