WATCH: San Angelo Firefighters Respond to Trash Truck Fire

 

SAN ANGELO – A Republic trash truck caught fire Friday afternoon in a quiet San Angelo neighborhood causing a response from the San Angelo Fire Department.

About 1:15 p.m. San Angelo Police and the San Angelo Fire Department responded to the 3800 block of High Meadow Dr. where a Republic trash truck had caught on fire. Workers could be seen on top of the truck trying to assess what caused the fire.

Reporters on the scene say it appears the fire was contained inside the trash compartment of the truck and was extinguished quickly.  

There were no signs of injuries or serious damage to the truck.
