WATCH: Work Truck Destroyed by Fire on US 277 S. Blocking Traffic

 

SAN ANGELO – A vehicle fire on U.S. 277 S. near Ratliff Rd. blocked all traffic on the busy major highway for a few hours Wednesday evening.  

Reporters on the scene say smoke could be seen for miles from the burning vehicle.  

The vehicle was so badly burned it is difficult to identify. It looks like an oilfield work truck but that is unconfirmed.

Volunteer firefighters, Sheriff's deputies and DPS troopers responded to the vehicle fire.  

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.  While there was an ambulance on the scene, it is unknown if anyone was injured.
