Tanker Truck Carrying Chemicals Explodes in Residential Neighborhood

 

ODESSA, TX – An explosion caused a stir in an Odessa neighborhood on Sunday night.

According to an Odessa News Station, on Jan. 30, fire fighters with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to the 9000 block of West 26th St. for the report of an explosion.

When the firefighters arrived they discovered a tanker truck that had exploded in a residential neighborhood. 

The truck contained a number of chemicals used in fracking.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.

The fire was extinguished within an hour. No word yet how the explosion occurred.
