18-Wheeler Catches Fire in Sutton County

 

SONORA, TX – An 18-wheeler burst into flames on Monday night while heading east on the I-10 in Sutton County near Sonora.

According to the Sutton County Sheriff's Office, on Oct. 4, firefighters with the Sutton County Volunteer Fire Department, the Junction Fire Department, and SCSO deputies were dispatched to I-10 at mile marker 433 for the report of a vehicle fire.

When they arrived, the crew discovered a semi-truck with a trailer that was fully engulfed in flames. 

No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
