WATCH: Fire Destroys House in Southeast San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo firefighters doused a major house fire on Ave. L near S. Chadbourne early Thursday morning. 

The house is located next to a business on the corner of Ave. L and S. Chadbourne. 

San Angelo Police issued a nixle alert urging residents to avoid W. Ave. L between Irving and Chadbourne and W. Ave. M because of the fire.

Witnesses at the scene say the structure was vacant. 

The blaze melted the privacy fence between the house and the business. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
