Woman Driving Jeep Rams into Kitchen of Rental Home

SAN ANGELO, TX — A woman driving a Jeep Cherokee westbound in the 500 block of Paint Rock Road veered off the road and crashed into the kitchen of a residence.

San Angelo police said the driver and a two-year-old boy passenger, who was properly restrained, were rushed to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries. There was no one home when the Jeep drove into the home’s kitchen.

The residence was a rental, according to police. The landlord is working with the tenant to secure the home and to possible find the tenant another place to stay until repairs are made.

Police believe the crash was caused by a medical incident with the driver. They gave no indication there will be citations issued, though the investigation continues. The crash happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
