Midland Man Identified in Fatal Crash Near Big Spring

 

BIG SPRING, TX—The Department of Public Safety identified a Midland man who was killed in a rollover crash west of Big Spring.

Troopers responded to a crash on I-20 five miles west of Big Spring Friday afternoon, according to DPS.  

Troopers arrived on scene and found a rollover involving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

Jesus T. Serrata, the driver of Jeep, was taken to Medical Center Hospital before dying from his injuries.

After investigating the crash, DPS determined that Serrata was driving east on I-20 when his Jeep had a blowout, causing him to lose control and roll.

DPS reports that Serrata was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
