SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Two men were injured and at least one was rushed to Shannon Medical Center this afternoon after their red Ford F-150 flipped four to five times on N. Bryant Ave.
According to San Angelo police, witnesses stated to the officers that the pickup was pulling a trailer that was “shaking” and may have put the pickup in an out-of-control situation.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, police said. The driver suffered a severe laceration to the head. Police said he was conscious and breathing when he was loaded into an ambulance to be rushed to Shannon. The passenger suffered a laceration to the right arm.
Police said the cause of the crash was likely equipment failure. There are no citations and no other vehicles were involved.
N. Bryant traffic was backed up for miles because both northbound lanes were blocked while fire crews cleared the debris from the roadway. The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on N. Bryant just before exiting the city limits.

Another wreck in which BOTH LANES were obviously blocked (See your own posted photo) and AGAIN, there was NO NIXLE broadcast to warn motorists or even other First Responders of the road blockage.
IMHO - NIXLE is a FAILURE !

PermalinkI agree 100%. NIXLE is a failure at this point in time. And another failure is the removal of SAPD calls for service on their website. Since Carter took over is when I noticed the page taken down. Is it not taxpayers right to know these thing?
