ABILENE, TX - This morning, at approximately 6 a.m., a Department of Public Safety trooper was injured while investigating a semi-truck crash on Interstate 20, near mile post/exit 294, east of Abilene.
Officials said the trooper was inside his patrol unit when another vehicle crashed into his vehicle in the eastbound lanes of I 20.
The trooper was transported to Hendrick Medical Center for Evaluation, DPS said.
