Three Occupants At-Large After Fleeing Ford Expedition Before it Burst into Flames

A black Ford Expedition pulled into B&W Truck, Trailer and Machine Shop just before 5 p.m. today. It was smoking from under the hood. Two males and a female, all adults, exited the vehicle, witnesses say, and ran as the Ford burst into flames.

The fire was extinguished quickly by the fire department. Whatever happened to the occupants is currently a mystery.

Police on the radio report that they are searching for the trio from the Expedition who they assume are still on foot.

City Fire Marshal Ross Coleman is investigating the fire, taking photos, and digging through the debris.

Update 6:00 p.m.

Fire Marshal Coleman said that in his initial investigation that he could find no evidence of arson. He also said that the fire originated from the engine compartment.
