Rollover Crash on US 277 South

What appears to be a single vehicle rollover crash has happened at approximately 12:20 p.m. today. At least one person has been trasnported to the hospital. Initial reports on the police radio indicate that an occupant, presumably the driver, was trapped inside.

The car involved appears to be a black Ford Mustang. From our observation, there was only one person in the Mustang.

Texas DPS, San Angelo police, and the San Angelo Fire Department with EMS are tending to the scene.

This is the second rollover crash along this stretch of highway in June.

Update 1:03 p.m.

According to the DPS: The Mustang was traveling northbound on U.S. 277 just south of San Angelo. The driver failed to drive in a single lane. He crossed over the southbound lane and into the barrow ditch. At that point, the Mustang flipped and rolled multiple times. The driver had incapacitating injuries, but was conherent. He was cited for failure to drive in a single lane. The investigator was Trooper Matt Walts.
