Theft Ranks High on Wednesday

 

The number of inmates booked into the county jail on Wednesday nearly tripled from the day before, when 18 individuals were booked, mostly on theft charges.

Six of those put behind bars were jailed for a form of theft, while an additional one was booked for forgery. There was one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one marijuana charge, one manufacture/delivery, and one possession. 

Two were jailed for assault on Wednesday, and one individual was booked on previous charges of escaping from custody and two evading arrest charges. 

Twenty-four inmates were released.
