Monday Sees Spike in Theft and Drug Charges

 

Theft was the number one charge for inmates arrested on Monday, with a total of seven counts on the Tom Green County Jail's Inmate Bookings Report. Of the twenty-six put behind bars, six were arrested for drug possession, three of which were pot. There were two DWIs and one PI, as well as two evading and one resisting arrest charge.

Monday also saw two aggravated assault charges, one on a date/family member, the other a warrant arrest on an individual who committed theft in August of 2013 and then aggravated sexual assault of a child in October of 2013. 

There was also one credit/debit card abuse charge and one harassment charge Monday. Twenty-eight inmates were released.
