SAN ANGELO— Concho Valley Dragway is looking to bring something new and something to do to San Angelo.
Just outside the San Angelo city limits on Arden Road, at 7955 Arden Road to be exact, a huge undertaking is underway as the Concho Valley Dragway crew is working extremely hard to build something fresh for San Angelo.
The cool part?
They want to give back to the community. They realize how blessed they are as nearly everything they have up at the moment has been donated or bought at cost. In just over three weeks, they’ve put in the work and taken an untouched piece of West Texas land and turned it into a cleared out drag racetrack with 700 feet of concrete poured.
The Dragway Crew is expecting to finish with a long track to attract who they consider "big time" drag racers. Jared Winger, one of the individuals who is working on Concho Valley Dragway, raced a few times on Discovery’s Street Outlaws.
Even though they are just under a month into construction, if things go according to plan, Concho Valley Dragway is looking to be completed by mid-June.
