New $12 Million Hotel Could be Coming Soon to Lake View

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Northside of San Angelo will be getting a brand new hotel if city planners issued a permit submitted by Holiday Inn.

According to the City of San Angelo's Building Permit and Inspection Report for the month of Mar. 2023, Holiday Inn has submitted a permit for a $12.7 million hotel at 619 W. 29th St.

The location its currently a vacant lot between the shopping center and Walgreens on 29th St. The hotel will also be directly in front of 29th St. entrance/exit of the Walmart Supercenter. 

Currently in San Angelo there are three IHG Hotels; the Staybridge Suites on Knickerbocker and the Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites off of the Houston Harte Expressway.

Today the large chain hotels on the Northside of San Angelo include the Best Western, the Inn on the Conchos, and the Ramada. The new Holiday Inn will add another major hotel to the Lake View area. 

As of now, the permit is pending but once approved construction will begin. No time table has been released for the completion date.
