SAN ANGELO, TX — A dog assigned to the Fort Stockton Police Department escaped last night sending police on not a man hunt, but a dog hunt, that lasted nearly 12 hours.
Late last night, Fort Stockton police alerted citizens of the city that their K9 working dog, named "Fauce," slipped out the front door of the police station. Or, in police lingo the door was left open leading to the dog's "departure from the premises where he was being cared for."
An exhaustive search ensued overnight and by 9 a.m., police announced the dog was found. But there were no details as to what mischief Fauce engaged in during his several hours on the lam. Police did not mention injuries, either, so we assume Fauce was found in good health. As for the officer in charge of Fauce? Well...
