Holiman Elementary Unveils San Angelo's Newest Sheep

SAN ANGELO, TX – A new fiberglass sheep has joined the San Angelo community and is calling his home Holiman Elementary.

The process started months ago with students from the school hand writing letters pleading for a sponsor to help them purchase a sheep.

Crockett National Bank agreed and sponsored the project and the student's dream became a reality.

After receiving the blank sheep, the students searched for ideas on what would be on the statue. Holiman staff came up with idea to have students design patches resembling memorabilia throughout the school.

Lake View High School art program students painted the sheep to match what the students designed.

Holiman Elementary hosted an unveiling of the sheep at the school on January 22. Here is a video of the event:

The statue will now be on display in front of the school.
