Game Warden Arrests Naked Hunter

GREGG COUNTY, TX — A Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden arrested a man hunting in the nude next to a state highway in Gregg County. Gregg County is where Longview is in East Texas.

According to a TPWD news release, the nude hunter was also missing his hunting license. He had nowhere to put it, the game warden said. The man is a well-known nudist activist and he contested the charges.

At the trial held this month, the activist’s case fell apart when the body cam footage of the nude hunter’s confrontation with the game warden was introduced as evidence. The county court-at-law judge viewed only a few seconds of the footage and slammed the gavel down, ruling in the state’s favor, the TPWD said. He was found guilty of hunting without a license, shooting across a property line, and disorderly conduct.
