Bad Driving Leads to More Drug Arrests

Supercop K9 Fritz helped Officer Fincher locate some drugs in a vehicle on Tuesday, when he scratched the door after taking a quick sniff of the vehicle.

The white 2013 Ford Fusion had been stopped in the 4400 block of N. Bryant for a traffic violation, and upon approaching the car, officers caught a glimpse of what turned out to be drug paraphernalia in a plastic container on the car’s passenger seat.

That misstep meant the fun was over for the crew of four. Police searched the vehicle and found metal container of pot in the door, and 28-year-old driver Michael Robert Green (Odessa) was carrying meth.

Passenger Billy Kirk (39, Big Spring) was found to be carrying a cocktail of prescription drugs and meth. Odessan Brian S. Morris (33) and 19-year-old Cassandra L. Kirk of Big Spring were also in the car.

All listed parties were arrested and charged with Felony 1 Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.  Morris was also charged with outstanding warrants.
