Watch: Noon Hour Crash at Dangerous Intersection Injures Driver

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Around 12:40 p.m. San Angelo Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ave Q and South Bryant for reports of a major crash.

According to the responding officers three vehicles were involved in the crash, a Mazda sedan, Ford Fiesta, and a Chevy Impala.

According to police the Mazda sedan was traveling southbound on South Bryant. The Ford Fiesta was facing northbound on South Bryant and attempting to make a left turn onto Knickerbocker Rd. The Fiesta then made an unprotected left turn on the green light and a collision occurred with the Mazda.

The Ford Fiesta then crashed into a Chevy Impala stopped at the light on Knickerbocker Rd.

The driver of the Mazda was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford Fiesta was injured but refused medical treatment and the driver of the Impala is seeking medical treatment.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta was cited failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn on a green light.
