WATCH: Passenger Ejected and Killed as Car Smashes into Restaurant on Beauregard

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a one car rollover crash at the Peasant Village Restaurant at Beauregard Ave. and Park St. in San Angelo. 

According to San Angelo Police officers at the scene, the driver of a black Dodge passenger car appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Beauregard when the vehicle struck the side of the bridge.

The driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle which rolled and crashed into the side of the Peasant Village.  

The passenger was ejected and died at the scene. 

The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended. 

Police say the driver was taken to the Tom Green County jail and will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Neither the driver nor the passenger have not been identified at this time.
