Bank & Trust Hosts Back to School Bash

The Bank & Trust is hosting its third annual “Back to School Bash” on Thursday, August 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at their Sonora branch location, 229 Hwy. 277 North. The event will include games with school supplies as prizes, music, free hamburgers and snow cones, and a grand prize for one lucky attendee.

Kids of all ages and parents are welcome at the event.

“This is a chance for us to really help the returning students prepare for an awesome school year.” said Jo Ann Hernandez, Vice President & Branch Manager. “We’ve gathered the Sonora ISD school supplies lists and bought hundreds of giveaways that the kids will be able to use this next year, and we think that the games and entertainment at the Back to School Bash will help to create excitement about the start of school.”

Last year the event was attended by over 200 students and their families, and this year the bank anticipates participation growing dramatically.

The Bank & Trust has been banking Texans for over 100 years, and just celebrated its 30 year anniversary in Sonora.
