It took Martin 2 drives to get a field goal. Central is holding up well in the first quarter.
On Centrals 3rd drive near the end of the 1st quarter, #8 QB Malachi Brown, under pressure out of the pocket, threw an interception to Martin's Mickael Carodine who ran it 26 yards for a touchdown.
Central's QB Brown, on a rushing play, fumbled the ball at the Central 46. On the next play, Martin's QB Zach Mundell ran it to the house. Score 17-0 Martin after extra point was good.
Central's defense came up with a "half stop." After forcing a fumble that Martin recovered, Central was able to stop a touchdown by forcing a 15-yard penalty to called back the touchdown. Martin only gets a field goal. Central is still in this game with 10:16 left in the half.
Momentum swung squarely into Martin's corner with 4:19 left in the half. They easily move the ball and score. the 2-point conversion was called back due to a holding penalty on Martin. The kicked extra point was good. 27-0 Martin.
In what was looking like a 3 and out for Central, the Bobcats got a break with a rushing the kicker penalty and automatic first down. Central still had trouble moving the ball, primarily because of the pressure on Malachi Brown causing some overthrown passes. On the punt, Martin's #88 Jonathan Carter ran the punt to the house. 34-0 Martin.
Central gets the ball back with about 1:30 left in the half and attempts to form a good drive. It was looking good until, under great pressure from the Martin defense, #8 Brown throws yet another interception caught by Martin's #42 Julian Johnson, a linebacker, who ran the ball from Central's 42 to the 25. On the next play, Martin's QB Mundell makes a long pass to #88 Jonathan Carter in the left corner of the end zone. 41-0 Martin going into the half.
Martin got the ball for the first drive of the 3rd. After 3 failed touchdowns due to penalties against Martin, QB #6 Zach Mundell was able to find a seam on the left side of the Central D-line and ran it 30 yards to the end zone. 48-0 Martin after the kick was good.
Unable to stop the Martin ground attack, on the first drive after a turnover on downs at the Martin 25, Martin's QB Mundell rushes the ball to the Central 29. Three plays later, Martin's #41 Chris Craft-Olayinka runs 23 yards to the end zone untouched by Central's defense. 55-0 Martin with 3 minutes left in the 3rd.
Into the 4th, Martin keeps on driving, even as the Martin coach is putting in his younger players. Mundell was replaced by #16 Cydd Ford and the yardage continues to rack up for Martin. On the combination of QB keepers and handoff to #29 Zaire Barrow who ran the ball 24 yards to the house, the score is 62-0 Martin with 9 minutes left in the game.
Once again, Central was unable to convert a 3rd down after two sacks of Malachi Brown, the QB. Then Martin gets the ball and the ground attack continued, capped by a 15-yard run to the end zone by Martin's #29 Zaire Barrow. 69-0 Martin with 1:15 left in the game.
