in Coca Cola Truck Hits Downed Power Line on N. Chadbourne
I have assume this why we had multiple power blips Sunday. Glad no one got electrocuted. If not mistaken that was a 7200 Volt distribution line.
in Even After Judge Showed Mercy, Drug Dealer Heads to Prison Anyway
He should have been sentenced fo 10 years or more. Its apparent this poison pushing looser slug of society is not and does not give a !#%* about doing the right thang.
San Angelo seems to be the city of many chances for slug losers like Jadarwin):
in Judge Gives 22-year-old a Choice; 5 Years in Prison or 10 Years Deferred Adjudication Probation
The other one the judge gave an option to was killed by DPS on Friday, just read about it. It had nothing to do with race, just bad decisions and bad behavior. The choice to change one's behavior is not up to the judge or society but only that person. We will soon see about this guy.
in Catfish Stocking in the Concho River Returns This Week
Why would TPWD stock fish in a river suffering from a algae bloom?
There was a point here in San Angelo when, if you fit a certain profile, you were going to be profiled. An attempt to get to the bottom of this led me, personally, to an uncomfortable conclusion: some people have adopted illegal behavior as a kind of tradition.
There are historical reasons for this, but like any behavior that becomes normalized after the environment has changed and the cost-to-benefit ratio is either too low or even inverted, it's maladaptive.
Furthermore, we can complain about racism until heifers fly, but if one's own group—even one's own family—is constantly engaged in destructive and illicit behavior, not only does it exacerbate tensions between groups, it will ultimately only lead to harsher and more deeply ingrained bigotry. On each side.
When we take up the ideology of "Heaven forgives misdeeds but Hell remembers feelings," try to surpress honest discussion and undercut the very framework our democracy is built on as a shortcut for getting our way, we may buy ourselves a sense of vindication in the present, but be assured that we're leaving a bill due for unrest, dischord, tyrannical authoritarianism, and possibly violent conflict that future generations will have to pay.
The level of Criminality of a person is in the eye of the beholder. Besides, everyone has the choice of right or wrong. That goes for dealing drugs or partaking in them. Can't have one without the other. Both are equal in the destruction of a decent society.
in 3 San Angelo Men Indicted in Temple Double Murder Case
"Dad, I'm getting a big ole neck tattoo today." "So, son, are you calling me from prison, or are you planning on going soon?"
Some people just weren't born with a full load of chromosomes.....
in Renowned San Angelo Criminal Shot and Killed by a DPS Trooper
I didn't find your comments offensive. It's apparent McVae has lived a criminal's life with no plans to stop or even slow down. The things we read about him above are only the things he was CAUGHT doing. What I do find offensive, is some people get on here and try to defend him or at the very least reprimand you for saying anything.
in Alabama Man Indicted for Robbing a Whataburger
I enjoy Whataburger also, on occasion. Albeit, their food is made fresh, it's still burgers and fries, not Duck Risotto.
My second choice at a friendly jab at them was to lament the fact they'd have to make four combo meals to recoup their $60.
No negativity, just a little fun with reality.
Why does everything have to turn into a race issue? He is dangerous! Have y'all read his records? Not to mention the extensive amount of drugs he had, assault on a cop, his girlfriend, ect. Stop making everything about race, he's a friggin criminal!!!
I cannot exactly quote the line, but in the series "Yellowstone" one character says to another: "Jimmy, I spent seven years in prison, and you're about the stupidest person I have ever met. And that's saying something."
The lesson here: Your basic criminal type is NOT smart.
This just illustrates the ignorance of the common criminal. Firstly, virtually all stores and restaurants have security cameras that visually identify your crime, which in this case is armed robbery and can put you in prison for a very long time. Secondly, the vast majority of customers no longer pay with cash, meaning diminishing returns for hold-ups. This guy risked life in the can for $60.
Must have wanted one of them there whataburgers real roll tide bad(:
Just more fine upstanding San Angelo slugs carrying on the local slug tradition. Sheople go ahead and say they had good parents and they were always good boys(smh).
Praise the lord and pass the taters!!
Everyone is entitled to freedom of speech by all means and. Everyones got their own poison to deal with. No one even me has a right to degrade a person or persons actions or voice where they should go. It just pisses me off to hop on hear and some one talk like they are above others or how that person deserved what they got. Calling someones justice isnt your place or mine. If you cant be respectful enough to know how dramitic of a situation then ur just as lost as the one committing the crime.
