Veteran Police Officer Charged With Assault

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A San Antonio Police officer has been put on administrative leave after being accused of sexual assault.

According to KABB, the victim told police that Officer Humberto Zuniga had sex with a woman without her consent on August 1.

According to the victim, she managed to stop the alleged assault when she cut his arm with a knife. The victim was interviewed after the assault and Officer Zuniga was interviewed by authorities. 

An arrest warrant was issued for Zuniga and was placed on administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing.

Zuniga is an 18-year veteran of the police force.
