Women Arrested After Deputies Find Cocaine & Toddlers in the Car

 

SEGUIN, TX — Two women were arrested in Guadalupe County after authorities found a stash of narcotics while they had two toddlers in the car.

According to KABB, around 11:00 a.m. Monday a deputy with the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office executed a traffic stop on I-10. 

After speaking with the women, the deputy obtained conflicting stories. In addition to the one-year-old child and a two-year-old child, the deputy involved his partner, K-9 Eddie, in a search of the car. The K-9 located 1.2 pounds of cocaine under the center console of the SUV.

The women, 39-year-old Crystal Ortega and 23-year-old Latoyreeyah Prince of Vinton, Louisana were subsequently arrested. They were charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  

They are currently being held at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center on $25,000.00 bonds each.

The toddlers were taken into custody by ACS.
