Man Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Up Fort Hood

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A San Antonio man was arrested after he threatened to shoot up Fort Hood in retaliation for the murder of Vanessa Guillen.

According to KABB, 48-year-old Mario Eloy Pena made several threats on social media. Pena’s family then alerted police about the threats.

According to SAPD, Pena allegedly stated he was “‘close’ to being an active shooter at the Ft. Hood Army base because of Vanessa Guillen’s murder.”

Other posts included comments saying he “has no respect for the USA Military” and “I hate white people” and, “I said this before I’m rasist **** whites.”

As police investigated Pena they found an extensive arrest history with multiple charges of family violence in Texas and California.

Pena became aware he was under investigation and had a message for SAPD, “‘**** SAC PD. “DETECTIVES GOING TO LOOK FOR ME AT MY SIS CASA IM HERE. HOME.. JOHN JAY .. NOT IN FT. HOOD..”

Pena has been charged with making a terroristic threat.
