Texas Prepares to Combat the Coronavirus

 

AUSTIN,  TX  – The State of Texas is developing a plan to combat the quickly growing Coronavirus. 

According to KTXS, on Feb. 27, Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick will be briefed on the Coronavirus at the State Operations Center in North Austin.

The briefing comes as six cases have been confirmed in Texas with many more across the country. The six cases in Texas are being quarantined at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. Five of the cases were passengers from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship. The other case was from an American evacuee from Wuhan, China. Abbott and Patrick will provide an update on the precautionary steps the state is taking in case the virus spreads further in Texas.
