Odessa Woman Shot at While Delivering Newspapers

 

ODESSA, TX. – The Odessa Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Oakwood just after 5:00 a.m. for a call of a person with a gun according to Odessa PD.

When police arrived at the scene, a woman claimed that someone had shot at her car as she was delivering newspapers.

The victim told the officers that she and her 9-month-old daughter were in the car when the shots were fired. She also told police that she lost sight of the vehicle when it turned off from behind her.

No one was reported injured after the shooting.  

Several bullet holes were found in the front of the vehicle and neighbors stated that they had heard the gunshots.

The suspected gunman was driving a newer model white Chevrolet Silverado with chrome bars on the bed of the truck.

Anyone with information in reference to the shooting or the whereabouts of the vehicle should call Odessa Police or Odessa Crime Stoppers and reference Case #18-06144.
