Abilene Man Dies in Lubbock After Contracting the Flu

 

LUBBOCK, TX -- An Abilene died after contracting the flu last week, according to the Concho Valley Homepage.

Jason Alan Smith, 43, was pronounced deceased at a Lubbock Hospital on January 10, after becoming ill unexpectedly.

Smith's obituary says "he loved his family and friends, God, the Pittsburgh Steelers, muscle cars, The Dallas Stars, The Texas Rangers and Marvel comics."

His funeral will take place at the Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope Wednesday, January 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Smith lived in Abilene for 20 years before recently moving to Lubbock, according to the obituary.
