9:28 p.m. Carthage 45, Brock 17 - FINAL ... Brock's first season in Class 4A Division II ends in the state semifinals with a record of 13-2. Carthage improves to 14-1 and advances to play Waco La Vega in the state final at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
9:27 p.m. Carthage running out the final minutes of clock now.
9:24 p.m. Pass falls incomplete, and Brock turns the ball over on downs.
9:23 p.m. Brock driving, but the Eagles now face a fourth-and-10.
9:14 p.m. Benny Smith powers his way for another TD run, this time from 46 yards out, and Carthage in total command now. Tigers lead 45-17 with 6:24 remaining.
9:12 p.m. A fourth-and-10 from the Carthage 45 fails, and Brock will turn the ball over on downs. That may be the Eagles' last opportunity to have any chance at making this a game.
9:07 p.m. Carthage RB Benny Smith bulls into the end zone for a 29-yard TD run. Tigers extend their lead to 38-17 with 9:30 remaining.
9:05 p.m. Carthage with a fourth-and-3 from Brock's 34, and the Bulldogs convert on a run by QB Jett Surratt.
9:02 p.m. Carthage 31, Brock 17 - end of 3rd Quarter
9:01 p.m. Carthage with a fourth-and-1 near midfield, and the Bulldogs convert.
8:58 p.m. Brock nearly recovered a pooch kick, but Carthage was able to get it.
8:56 p.m. Brody Woods with a 1-yard TD run, and Brock cuts the deficit to 31-17 with 1:42 left in the third quarter. It's not over just yet.
8:54 p.m. Brody Woods to Jesse Rusinek for a 29-yard pass down to the 1.
8:49 p.m. Carthage takes a shot at the end zone, and the pass falls incomplete. Brock will take over trailing 31-10 midway through the third quarter.
8:47 p.m. False start pushes Carthage back 5 yards.
8:46 p.m. Carthage drives down the field and now faces a fourth-and-3 at Brock's 19.
8:39 p.m. Not what Brock was looking for. The Eagles go three-and-out and have to immediately punt to Carthage.

8:08 p.m. Carthage 31, Brock 10 - HALFTIME
8:06 p.m. Fourth-and-3 from the 8, and Carthage is going for it. False start, however, makes it fourth-and-8 from the 13 now. Field-goal unit comes on now. Leo Medrano with a 30-yard field goal try, and Carthage now leads 31-10.
8:04 p.m. Carthage is inside Brock's 10-yard line. Bulldogs call timeout with 18 seconds remaining in the first half.
7:59 p.m. Brock trying to get a late score, but Carthage's Tylin Williams steps in front of a pass and intercepts it. Carthage can really take control now if they can punch in another score. About 1:30 remaining in the first half.
7:53 p.m. After a controversial pass interference call, Carthage strikes for a 26-yard TD pass on the very next play from Jett Surratt to Junior Henderson. Bulldogs extend their lead to 28-10 with 3:16 left in the second quarter.
7:51 p.m. Carthage goes for it on fourth-and-9 at Brock's 41. Pass is incomplete, but a pass interference keeps the drive alive.
7:44 p.m. Brody Woods with a 57-yard TD pass to Jesse Rusinek. Brock pulls within 20-10 with 6:13 to go in the second quarter.
7:38 p.m. Carthage hits a 10-yard TD pass on fourth-and-5 from Jett Surratt to Cade Ross, and the Bulldogs take a 20-3 lead with 6:47 left in the second quarter. PAT fails.
7:28 p.m. K.J. Edwards breaks free for a 31-yard TD run, and Carthage extends its lead to 14-3 early in the second quarter.
7:27 p.m. Carthage 7, Brock 3 - end of 1st Quarter
7:24 p.m. Brock cuts Carthage's lead to 7-3 with a short field goal by Brayden Hamel.
7:19 p.m. Colt Matlock with his second interception of the game, setting up Brock with a short field. Eagles will take over on Carthage's 7-yard line.
7:15 p.m. Brock has to punt the ball right back.
7:11 p.m. Brock reaches Carthage's 9-yard line, but the Eagles fumble the ball, and it scooped up and returned 80 yards for a TD by Qui Beck. Carthage takes a stunning 7-0 lead.
