The Cheer team started their 2020 campaign early. On November 16, the team traveled to Austin for their regional UIL tournament. The team won the tournament after receiving top honors in multiple events.

The events in these competitions include cheer, band chant, stunting, and tumbling. Another event is a situational event. In this event teams are given a random situation from a football game and they have to select the right cheer for that moment.

The team will travel to Fort Worth on January 18 to compete for the UIL state championship. They will be competing against 78 different teams from across the state in the 6A division 1 classification. Then, the squad will make a quick turnaround and to compete to claim their second consecutive national title in Dallas on February 1-2.
