Lady Cat Defense Propels Them to 2-0-1 Record at Dr. Pink Tourney

FRISCO, TX-- The Central Lady Cat soccer team officially kicked off the 2019 season by going unbeaten at the Frisco ISD Dr. Pink Tournament.

The Lady Cats went 2-0-1 in Frisco. They never allowed a goal and the only game where they didn't win was a scoreless draw with Dripping Springs to open the tournament.

Central head coach Ben Henry regarded his back line of Madison Mayben, Aliyah Marsh, Kieryn Moffat, Mikaylee Pope and Kelsey Wallace as "fantastic" in the tournament, helping goalkeeper Megan White to three clean sheets to start the 2019 campaign.

After that opening draw, Central went on to beat Richardson Pearce 2-0 and Frisco Heritage 1-0 to close out the tournament.

Abilene Christian University commit Addison Bonaventure notched a pair of goals in the three games. Skyler Lubus had the third goal for Central.

Torren Martinez had a pair of assists for the Lady Cats during their run. Angel Alvarado had the third.

Central (2-0-1) will next square off with another loaded field at the Governor's Cup in Georgetown. They're slated to face Deer Park, from the Houston area, to open the tournament.
