FOOTBALL PLAYOFF PAIRINGS: Third Round

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Three teams from the Concho Valley are on to the third round of the Texas high school football playoffs.

Wall and Mason each advanced to the regional semifinals with wins on Friday. Wall gets a fifth consecutive meeting with their young rival Brock because of their win over Bushland.

The Garden City Bearkats are two wins away from the state final after knocking off Borden County Saturday afternoon. That sets them up with a second meeting against Balmorhea in the Class 1A Division I Region II Final.

Here are their pairings for the third round of playoffs:

Class 3A Division I

  • Wall (9-2) vs Brock (11-1); Friday, Nov. 30, 7:00 p.m. @ Shotwell Stadium, Abilene

Class 2A Division I

  • Mason (12-0) vs Wallis Brazos (7-4); Friday, Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. @ D.W. Rutledge Stadium, Converse

Class 1A Division I

  • Garden City (12-0) vs Balmorhea (9-2); Saturday, Dec. 1, 6:00 p.m. @ Red Devil Stadium, Rankin
