Five Concho Valley Baseball Players Earn THSBCA All-State Honors

 

SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association announced their Class 3A All-State teams on Monday.

On it were five athletes from the Concho Valley.

The Wall Hawks put three on the team with juniors Sutton Hurst, Gage Weishuhn, and Tanner Seider each being selected. The Brady Bulldogs, coming off the best year in program history, placed two on the All-State teams in Gonzalo Morales and Walker Bauer.

Bauer, a sophomore, was named to the third team as a catcher while Morales, a senior shortstop, was named to the second team.

Hurst, a first baseman, was named to the third team after hitting .368 this season.

With a .485 clip at the plate, Hawk shortstop Tanner Seider was named to the third team, as well.

Right fielder Gage Weishuhn was the only Hawk not named to the third team, earning second team honors after hitting a team-leading eight home runs in 2018 with a .402 batting average.
