No. 12 Midway Outlasts Lady Cats Despite Strong Performance from McMillan

 

WACO, TX-- The Central Lady Cats dropped a pitcher's duel to 12th-ranked Waco Midway 1-0.

Freshman pitcher Ashton McMillan started in the circle for the Lady Cats. She went six innings where she allowed the one run on three hits. More impressive was the freshman's efficiency. In her six innings, McMillan threw just 57 pitches.

But the Pantherettes were able to plate a run on a missed tag by Micaiah Howell at home plate.

The Lady Cats could not capitalize on a pair of errors by Midway and were outhit 3-2 in the loss.

Howell and Madi Stewart tallied the lone hits for the Lady Cats.

The Lady Cats (15-11-2, 8-4) close out the regular season at home against Killeen Shoemaker on Friday at 6 p.m.
