Denver City Gets the Best of No. 2 Wall in Shallowater Tournament

LUBBOCK, TX-- The second-ranked Wall Hawk's baseball team fell behind early and couldn't catch up in a 3-0 loss to Denver City on Friday in the Shallowater Tournament.

Denver City used their pitching arsenal to strike out 12 and stymie the Hawks.

The Mustangs of Denver City would take the lead in the first with a solo home run by Mijares.

A two-run third inning by Denver City would cap off the scoring for the Mustangs.

Mitchell Horton got the start for the Hawks and went five full innings for Wall allowing three runs on five hits with one strikeout in the loss.

The Hawks fall to 3-1 on the young season and will face Levelland at 3:00 pm today.
