Hundreds Without Power in Southwest San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — AEP is fixing damage done to a feeder line that went down Sunday morning. According to AEP, the problem effected one phase of a feeder, knocking out over 600 customers initially.

AEP spokesman Fred Hernandez said the number of customers affected as of 11:45 a.m. was down to 230 in the 76904 zip code. The outage map that AEP provides lags real-time outage reporting by a few minutes, he said.

Hernandez said the line crews have not pinpointed the problem as of 11:45 a.m. but he expects they will soon. He said the outages might continue for another two hours while crews investigate and apply the fixes. Officially, however, there is no ETA on the fix, Hernandez said.
